HISTORY
WTF!! was originally formed as a subunit of the kaigai idol group “see.ker”. Ronan and Neon wanted to be able to showcase their love for theatrical performances, but felt that see.ker’s concept was too rigid to support those kinds of stages. Thus, We’re Two Friends!! was born.
Following their initial performance at Otakon 2024, WTF!!’s concept solidified into showcasing the fluidity of the term “idol”. Each show is born from a simple idea - usually a broad theme such as clowns, puppets, or cannibalism - and fleshed out with a cohesive setlist, costumes, and marketing.
A distinguishing trait of WTF!!’s performances is their focus on immersion. Every show is planned with the intention to allow the audience to take part - whether it’s by throwing props at the stage or voting in a mock election, participation is always encouraged.
Both members of WTF!! are veterans of the idol community, and are dedicated to its growth. Outside of WTF!!, you can find both of them acting as movers and shakers by planning and hosting idol events or leading Idol HOME, a kaigai idol news network, resource center, and archive.
